The northbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Bangor were briefly closed Monday morning after a tractor-trailer jackknifed on the icy road.
The crash happened near the Kenduskeag Stream, between the Union Street and Broadway exits, blocking both northbound lanes, according to Stephen McCausland, spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

The trucker was not injured in the crash.
McCausland said a wrecker and Maine Department of Transportation officials were at the scene. The tractor-trailer was removed and traffic began to flow again about 8:15 a.m.

A winter storm on Sunday brought a mix of snow and freezing rain to much of the state, leaving roads with a thin layer of ice in many areas.
