The boy who died early Wednesday morning in a New Hampshire house fire has been identified.

Nova Demanche, 7, died after a fire broke out about 12:43 a.m. Wednesday in a home on Thornwald Avenue in Hampton, New Hampshire, according to CBS affiliate WGME.

Three adults and four children escaped the fire, according to WGME. One of the adults, a woman, was injured in the fire.

The flames had already spread throughout the home when firefighters arrived at the scene. Several attempts to rescue Demanche, but the flames were too intense and they weren’t able to get inside, WGME reports.
