Old Town police on Tuesday arrested a sex offender who had moved to the city without informing authorities about his change of address.
Police learned that day that Michael Warren, 61, was living in Old Town and had not registered his new address, as is required for the state sex offender registry.
Warren is listed on the registry as living in Parsonsfield, a York County town near the New Hampshire border. He is a lifetime registrant with convictions for gross sexual misconduct and unlawful sexual contact.
Old Town police visited the residence where Warren was believed to be living and arrested him. He was brought to Penobscot County Jail and charged with failure to comply with the sex offender registry.
