The 10th-seeded Lake Region boys defeated No. 7 Wells 51-48 in a Class B South preliminary playoff game Tuesday. The Lakers advanced to the quarterfinals against No. 2 Lincoln Academy at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the Augusta Civic Center.
