A Lincoln teenager died after her car collided with a pulp truck in the town of Wales on Sunday morning.

Police were called at 9:46 a.m. to a head-on crash on Route 132, also known as Pond Road, between Bull Run Road and Leeds Junction Road.

A preliminary investigation suggests Sophie Blomsma, 17, was driving a 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan SUV when she crossed the centerline and collided with an unloaded 2005 Kenworth pulp truck driven by Nathaniel Bell, 49, of Leeds, the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office said on Facebook.

Blomsma died at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office. Bell was not injured.
