A 41-year-old woman is believed to have drowned in Sebago Lake on Wednesday morning.

The woman, who has not been identified, was found unconscious in Sebago Lake at around 11:36 a.m., according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office. She was pronounced dead by medical officials after life-saving measures were attempted.  

Her death is under investigation by the state medical examiner and the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.
