A Mexico man died Thursday afternoon following a motorcycle crash in Paris.
Carleton Merrill, 33, was speeding on his 2025 Kawasaki motorcycle on Route 26, also known as Park Street, about 1:30 p.m. when he passed a vehicle and then swerved to avoid another, hitting an embankment and leaving the road, according to the Advertiser Democrat.
Merrill was taken to MaineHealth Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway, where he succumbed to his injuries, the newspaper reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
