A Pittston man allegedly used a front-end loader to smash his neighbor’s truck.

Nicholas Worthing, 38, faces charges of aggravated criminal mischief, aggravated reckless conduct and violation of his conditions of release, according to the Kennebec County Sheriff’s Office.

Worthing allegedly used a front-end loader to smash the roof of his neighbor’s 2008 Toyota Tacoma on Nov. 7, 2025.

He was arrested Wednesday evening on outstanding felony warrants for failing to show up for his sentencing on a stalking charge for which he was convicted in May 2025.

Police and U.S. marshals spotted him fleeing his Worthing Road home about 6:30 p.m., and officers used a police dog to stop and subdue him, the sheriff’s office said Thursday afternoon.

Worthing was taken to the hospital before going to the Kennebec County Jail in Augusta. Worthing was then transferred to the Somerset County Jail in Madison.

He faces charges of violating his conditions of release and refusing to submit to arrest from his Wednesday apprehension.
