A Northfield man was seriously injured in a Wednesday afternoon crash in Washington County.
Christopher Davenport, 24, was driving south on Route 191, also known as Dixie Road, in Trescott Township about 4:10 p.m. when he went off the road and crashed, according to Shannon Moss, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Davenport, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected, Moss said Thursday morning.
He was taken to Down East Community Hospital in Machias before being transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he was being treated for serious injuries.
Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, which remains under investigation.
Trescott Township is just west of Lubec.
