The runway at the Bangor airport reopened a little over an hour after a plane made an emergency landing there on Monday
A Swiss Air flight made an emergency landing at the Bangor International Airport at 12:13 p.m., a Bangor Daily News reporter saw. The Bangor Fire Department had multiple fire trucks and ambulances staged in the area.
Airport spokesperson Aimee Thibodeau confirmed the runway closure after the landing, but said additional information is not immediately available.
The plane was flying from Zurich, Switzerland, and was supposed to land at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York, according to flight tracking data.
