A train derailed in Orono near Penobscot Valley Country Club on Main Street on Saturday, according to the Penobscot Regional Communications Center.

Officials are asking the public to avoid Main Street as crews respond to the train off the tracks, according to a Facebook post at around 5 p.m. Saturday by the dispatch center.
