An Upton motorcyclist died after he crashed into a deer in Newry on Sunday evening.
Rodney Goodrum, 57, was riding a motorcycle on Route 26, also known as Bear River Road, about 5:50 p.m. when he crashed into a deer in the road, according to the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office.
Goodrum was thrown from the motorcycle.
He was flown to Maine Medical Center in Portland, where he succumbed to his injuries, the sheriff’s office said Monday.
