A man allegedly kicked an EMT in the head in Bangor on Monday afternoon.
Perry Newell, 36, has been charged with assault on an emergency medical services person and violation of his conditions of release, according to Katy England, a spokesperson for the Bangor Police Department.
Police and EMTs responded to Davenport Park about 4:49 p.m., and while they were transporting Newell from there, he allegedly kicked one EMT in the head, causing minor injuries.
Newell, who had 17 active sets of bail conditions, was treated and released from the hospital. He was arrested Tuesday, England said.
Newell remained at the Penobscot County Jail late Tuesday morning, according to the jail’s website.
