Three kids allegedly tried to burn down a vacant trailer in Bowdoin last month.

The trio has been charged with criminal trespassing and arson, according to Maj. Aaron Turcotte, a spokesperson for the Maine Department of Public Safety.

The kids allegedly broke into the trailer on John Tarr Road between July 19 and 25 and started a fire. It caused only minor damage.

The kids were charged Tuesday and released to their parents.
