A New Gloucester man was seriously injured Thursday evening when he collided with a tractor-trailer in Auburn.
Jonah King, 29, was driving south on Washington Street, near the intersection with Kittyhawk Avenue, about 7:29 p.m. when he collided with a turning tractor-trailer driven by 46-year-old Peter Fontaine of North Waterboro, according to the Auburn Police Department.
King suffered life-threatening injuries. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center before being transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland, Auburn police said Friday morning.
Fontaine had a green traffic signal for making a left-hand turn onto Washington Street from Kittyhawk Avenue, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
