Ellsworth High School music director Jamie Calandro is scheduled to appear on “Jeopardy!” next Monday, Oct. 26, the school announced.

Calandro’s appearance on the long-running TV quiz show comes on the heels of former Bangor Daily News reporter Emily Burnham winning one ‘Jeopardy!’ game in September before coming up short in her bid to hold the championship.

Appearances on the show by Maine residents aren’t frequent, but they aren’t rare either.

‘Jeopardy’ airs at 7:30 p.m. on local ABC affiliate stations.

Ethan Andrews is the night editor. He was formerly the managing editor at The Free Press and worked as a reporter for The Republican Journal and Pen Bay Pilot.
