A Milford man pleaded not guilty Friday in the death of his toddler.

Shane McLaughlin, 37, pleaded not guilty to one felony count manslaughter, as well as three counts of child endangerment, Friday in Penobscot County Superior Court. His 1-year-old daughter, Eleanora Ray McLaughlin, died of hypothermia at the family’s home on Dec. 28.

Eleanora was living with her twin sister and an older brother at their father’s house at the time of her death.

McLaughlin was arrested Wednesday after a grand jury indicted him. No further information was available in his court case file.

McLaughlin is held at the Penobscot County Jail on a $250,000 bail. A bail hearing will be held next week at the request of his defense attorney, Seth Levy.
