What is one new policy that the state should embrace to make housing easier to build and afford?
Maine should revamp old buildings such as old mills and school houses into affordable housing. The subsidized housing needs to benefit veterans and seniors first then move to families and the legal imagrants.
Transmission lines, solar incentives and offshore wind development have been controversial over the past several years. What steps should Maine take to meet growing demand for electricity?
It’s important that we allow our citizens to choose what kind of electricity and energy they use to heat and light up there house. The government shouldn’t be telling you what kind of energy to use.
Should the state make changes to its tax laws? If so, outline your priorities.
I believe that Maine should join our friends in New Hampshire and be a sales tax free state.
We are closing in on the one-year anniversary of the Lewiston mass shooting. Are further legislative responses required around guns, mental health, supporting victims and families or other policy areas?
I’m heat broken by the tragedy that happened in Lewiston, unfortunately it’s not the gun that killed it was the person behind it we need to focus on the underlining issue of mental health. The problem stems from a systemic failure not a inanimate object.
Describe a unique attribute or area of focus that you will bring to the Legislature.
Reinvigorating Maine school systems by focusing on fundamentals and bringing back trade schools so that way children are set up for success by knowing a trade. Facing the drug epidemic head on with a positive outcome by addressing the underlining issue of mental health. Last and definitely not least I’m a young family man who understands the every day struggles of living paycheck to paycheck. I will always strive to lower costs and make Maine more affordable again.
