ADRIEN HEBERT FORT KENT – Adrien Hebert, 76, died May 10, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 28, 1927, in Fort Kent, the son of Joseph and Virginia (Albert) Hebert. Adrien was a farmer working with his father and brother for 25 years. Afterwards he worked for Daigle and Paige Starch factories in Fort Kent for 35 years and two years in Island Falls as a truck driver. Returning to Fort Kent to work for Paige Starch factory until his retirement at the age of 62. He was a veteran of the Korean War, belonged to the VFW and the American Legion of Frenchville. He also was a member of the Fourth Assembly Knights of Columbus Council No. 0352. Adrien was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed picking fiddleheads, fishing and was an excellent gardener. His favorite pastime was playing word find. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Laurine (Bonenfant) Hebert of Fort Kent; two sisters, Lorraine Gagnon of Fort Kent, and Irene Labrie of Frenchville; many special nieces and nephews. In addition to both his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Lucien and Norman. Friends may call 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday and 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home in Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1 p.m. Friday at the St. Louis Catholic Church in Fort Kent with the Rev. Claude Gendreau officiating. Committal service will follow in the parish cemetery with full military and full Fourth Degree honors. In his memory, those who wish may donate to the American Heart Assoc.
