BROOKS – Albert E. “Jim” Cook Jr., died Dec. 20, 2003. He was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Unity Plantation, the second child of Albert E. Cook Sr. and Caddie Blair Cook. He was predeceased by his father and mother, sister, Josephine Cook Littlefield; brothers, Donald Cook and Elmer Cook; grandchildren, Daryl Whitmore, George and Sandra Lynn Edwards and Christina Dawn Larrabee. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II in France and he was a Professional Lightweight Boxer. An avid hunter and fisherman he also enjoyed boating and flying. He loved to spend time with his children, grandchildren and also his great-grandchildren. He leaves behind his loving wife of 54 years, Audrey A. Coro Cook and his seven children; Michael E. Cook and his partner, Edith, of Canaan, Robert L. Cook of Winthrop, Kathie and her husband, Albert Edwards of Stockton Springs, Terry D. Cook Sr., and his partner, Cheryl Pike of North Searsport, Regina and her husband, Dana A. Knight, Sr., of Belfast, Jimmy B. Cook and his wife, Jessica of Clinton, Debra J. Beaulieu and her husband, Jeffery, of Vassalboro; his sister and brothers, Gladys Bennett, Paul Cook, Robert Cook, Drew Cook and Claude Cook; a special brother-in-law, Carroll F. Warren Sr.; his very special friend, Stanley Knight; 22 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and countless friends. At the request of the deceased and the family, there will be no visiting hours. Interment will be scheduled by Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Foundation/Association.
