MARS HILL, N.C. – Albert Frank Burton, 71, of 676 Mountain Haven Dr., died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, in an Asheville, N.C. VA hospital after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. Mr. Burton was born in Bangor and was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a retired safety supervisor. He was a son of the late Harry and Anna Riley Burton. Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Patsy Burton; three daughters, Leisa Butler and husband, Kevin, of Wilmington, N.C., Linda Burton and husband, Harry, of Mars Hill, N.C. and Kim Hayward and husband, Jeff, of Old Town; one sister, Hilda Thibodeau and husband, Edward, of Veazie; one brother, Eugene Burton and wife, Jeanette, of South Portland; grandchildren, Adam Butler and wife, Christi, Jennifer Hairr and husband, Kevin, Matt, Breana and Skylar Larsen, Kendra and Kayla Hayward; great-grandchildren, Chase and Linsay Butler.
