MATTAWAMKEAG – Betty Lou Moore, 53, died peacefully Dec. 26, 2005, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born April 23, 1952, in Danbury, Conn., the daughter of Gerard and Gwendolyn F. (Hatch) Robert. Betty Lou attended Glenburn schools and Hermon High School. She was employed at a Bangor shoe factory for a time. She attended the West Enfield Church of God, enjoyed her animals and crocheting. Betty Lou had two dear friends who were a great help to her during the ups and downs of her life, Barbara Osnoe and Susan Simon, she became an aunt to Susan’s daughter, Shaina. Betty Lou was very fond of her cousin, Phyllis McAvey and thankful for her many good deeds over the years. She is survived by a son, Richard Moore Jr.; and a sister, Janice Robert of California and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was predeceased by her mother, Gwen; and brother, Kenny. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the family lot in Pleasant View Cemetery, Glenburn at a time and date to be announced by Foley Funeral Service, Bangor.
