BREWER – Albert J. Socoby, 83, died May 2, 2005, at his home in Brewer. He was born May 30, 1921, at Pleasant Point, the son of Sopiel and Agnes (Francis) Socoby. Albert was a long-time resident of Brewer and is survived by his son, Vincent D. Socoby of Indian Township; four grandchildren, Henry Socoby of Woodland, Robi Socoby of Machias, Troy Socoby and Tiffany O’Neill, both of Indian Township; three great-grandchildren, Joel Todd Hayward III, Dakota O’Neill and Brittany O’Neill. Family and friends may call 3-6 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2005, at Kiley Funeral Home, 69 State St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2005, with the Rev. Joel R. Cyr, pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brewer, officiating. Burial will be at a later date.
