VAN BUREN – Albert R. Nadeau, 69, died Feb. 16, 2004, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born May 18, 1934, in Caribou, the son of Joseph and Rose (Bouchard) Nadeau. He was employed as a farm laborer for a number of years, worked for the Van Buren Highway Department, and then worked in a fencing mill at the former Gilbert and Bennett plant. Albert was a member of the Gateway Baptist Church in Van Buren. He is survived by his wife, Yvette (Dubay) Nadeau of Van Buren; three sons, Anthony Nadeau and his wife, Mary, of Elephant Butte, N.M., David Nadeau and his wife, Annie, of Caribou, Dale Nadeau and his wife, Debbie, of Bucksport; one daughter, Gail Philbrook and her husband, Leroy, of Fort Fairfield; two sisters, Mary Milton of Caribou, and Marlene Morin of Grovetown, Ga.; six grandchildren, Kevin Astbury, Darren Nadeau, Lauren Philbrook, Michael Philbrook, Matthew Nadeau and Kaitlyn Nadeau. Relatives and friends may call from 12 noon until time of service on Wednesday at the Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 12 High St., Van Buren. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Spring interment will be in the Grande Riviere Cemetery.
