FORT FAIRFIELD – Carroll E. Parker, 67, died unexpectedly Feb. 13, 2004, at his Fort Fairfield residence. He was born June 20, 1936, at Fort Fairfield, the son of Lester B. and Madeline (Sirois) Parker. He was a graduate of the Fort Fairfield High School, earned his masters degree at St. Mary’s University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, and masters of science at the University of Southern Maine, Gorham, and attended Boston University School of Music, Boston, Mass., and studied philosophy at the University of Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Carroll taught English at several area high schools, including Presque Isle and Washburn. He was recognized as an accomplished organist, pianist and musician whose talent was appreciated by all who knew him. Mr. Parker was a communicant of the St. Denis Catholic Church, Fort Fairfield, and was a member of the National Teachers Association and Maine Teachers Association. He is survived by three sisters, Jeanette Keays of Rowley, Mass., Loretta Morgan of El Segundo, Calif., Donna Marie DeCruyenaere of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at the Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, from 11 a.m. until time of departure for the St. Denis Catholic Church, 143 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Raymond celebrant. Interment will take place at the St. Denis Catholic Cemetery, Fort Fairfield, later in the spring. A time of fellowship with refreshments will be held at the St. Denis Parish Hall immediately following the funeral mass.
