BAILEYVILLE – Alma Harvey, 84, died unexpectedly Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at a Calais nursing home. Alma was born March 11, 1922, in Baring a daughter of the late Jack and Martha McCurdy. She was a member of People’s United Methodist Church in Baileyville and loved to hunt, fish, camping out to Clifford Lake and all the musical gatherings she had at her home with family and friends throughout the years. She was predeceased by her husband, Daniel Harvey Sr.; a brother, Horace McCurdy; a sister, Elizabeth Griffin and her husband, Maynard; and a great-grandson, Ryan Farrar. She is survived by a sister, Bernice Tracy and husband, Amos, of Baileyville; a sister-in-law, Dorothy McCurdy of Alexander; a daughter, Arlene Blaney and husband, Richard, of Baileyville; a daughter, Marilyn Morrell and husband, Gerald, of St. Stephen, NB; a son, Daniel Harvey Jr. and wife, Linda, of Baileyville; a daughter, Sandra Crosby and husband, Frank, of Baileyville; a son, John Harvey Sr. and wife, Kelli, of Baileyville; a daughter, Joanne Harvey of Baileyville; a very special friend who was like a son, Raymond Farrar of Baileyville; 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais.
