PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Andrew Hood Cox died Jan. 24, 2007, in Providence, R.I. He was the husband of Constance Buffum of Providence, R.I. He was born Sept. 28, 1917, in Bangor, the son of Dr. James F. and Mary Burns Cox of Bangor. Mr. Cox graduated from Bowdoin College, Class of 1938, Harvard Law School in 1941 and was a World War II veteran. He retired as a partner of the law firm, Ropes and Gray, Boston, in 1989. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Emily Sinagra of Gloucester, Mass., and Deborah Marion of Little Compton, R.I.; a sister, Barbara Van Italie of Old Saybrook, Conn.; five grandchildren, Dominique, Elena and Tristan Sinagra, Anna and Andrew Marion of Little Comp-ton, R.I.; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 30, at the Church of St. Sebastian, Cole Avenue, Providence, R.I.
