HOLDEN – Cynthia Ann Instasi, 67, died Jan. 27, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at her home. She was born Oct. 29, 1939, in Boston, the daughter of Nicholas and Laura (Port) Filchuk. Cynthia enjoyed helping others and was actively involved doing just that in her career. She was a master trainer for Best Friends Approach to Alzheimer’s disease. Cynthia was a lifetime advocate for special needs people. More then anything, her family was her life and she will be sadly missed. She leaves a living legacy with her children, Barbara Deforge and husband, Joe, of Marion, Mass., Dennis Instasi and wife, Susan, of Hampden, Stephen Instasi of Lincoln, R.I., Patricia Daudelin and husband, Marc, of Woonsocket, R.I., Laura Wheeler and husband, Larry, of Palm Coast, Fla., Eliz-abeth Instasi of Holden, Pamela Jones and husband, Chris, of Milford, Mass., Christine Instasi and husband, Norm Springer, of Holden, Penny Chadwick and husband, Jim, of Dedham, Steve Rogeski and wife, Nancy, of Fort Fairfield; one sister, two brothers, 23 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Stephen Instasi in 1989. Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial gathering and reception 5-7 p.m. Friday, Feb 2, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 52 South. Main St., Brewer.
