DANFORTH – Anita (Cropley) Barnes, 64, died Jan. 25, 2006, at her home. She was born Sept. 20, 1941, in Danforth, the daughter of Wesley “Ben” and Geneva (Spinney) Cropley. Anita attended the Danforth Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed playing cribbage, going to Beano and crocheting. She was employed at the Danforth Rehabilitation Center for many years. She is survived by four children, Bruce and Lynnette Barnes of Bangor, Rhonda Barnes and Mitch Frye of Danforth, Terry Barnes of Danforth and Reginald “Butch” and Dawne Barnes of Bangor; her former husband, Reginald Barnes Sr. of Danforth; seven grandchildren, Ben, Micah, Josh, Tawnie, Mikayla, Deven and Shannon; brothers and sisters, Glenna Crone, Veronica Crone, Violet Frye, Franklin Cropley, James Cropley, Barbara Cropley and Sheila Estabrook; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and her pets, Rocky and Buddy. She was predeceased by three brothers and a sister, Tommy Young, Merle “Fred” Cropley, Glenn Cropley and Marie Krautler. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, at the Clay Funeral Home-Bartlett Chapel, 24 Houlton Rd., Danforth. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Danforth Pentecostal Church, with the Rev. Robert Root, officiating. Interment will be in Danforth Cemetery, at a later date.
