BANGOR – Barbara Jeanne Nasberg, 75, died Oct. 28, 2006, at a Bangor health care facility. She was born Jan. 24, 1931, in Flint, Mich., the daughter of John and Gabrielle (VanColen) Hayes. Barbara was a graduate of Baker Business College, Flint, Mich., and worked many years as an exceptional secretary for many area businesses. She enjoyed traveling, crafts, the beauty of nature and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Barbara also enjoyed being an active part of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was also an active member of the Bangor Faculty Wives and a weekly sewing group. She is survived by her husband, Arthur E. Nasberg of Bangor; three sons, Gerald A. Nasberg and his companion, Dawn Jordon, of Ellsworth, Peter J. Nasberg and companion, Brenda Martinez and David A. Nasberg and his wife, Susan, all of Bangor; three daughters, Mary G. Lindsay and her companion, Rick Thompson, Barbara J. Quinn and her husband, Joseph, all of Bangor and Jennifer J. Mathis and her husband, Kevin, of Virginia; 12 grandchildren, John, Gabrielle, Meagan, Sarah, Anthony, Samantha, Emily M., Emily A., Joey, Kerry, Dylan and Barbara Luann Mylena; two brothers, Jack Hayes and his wife, Jan, of Wisconsin and William Hayes and his wife, Dorothy, of Michigan; one sister, Mary McAlindon and her husband, Paul, of Michigan; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 4-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 754 Ohio St., Bangor, with the Rev. Thomas Lequin, pastor, presidor.
