AUGUSTA – Barbara Louise Osgood, 83, of Augusta, formerly of Bangor, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at an Augusta healthcare facility. She was born in Bar Harbor, Oct. 2, 1920, the daughter of Harry and Christi Harvey. She lived most of her life in Bangor moving to Augusta a year ago. Barbara loved to travel and go camping. She was predeceased by her first husband, Edmund Lorne Hobart Sr. and her second husband, Robert Osgood; and a son, Edmund Dale Hobart. Barbara is survived by three children, Gary Hobart and his fianc?e, Carla, of Augusta, Edmund Lorne Hobart Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Salem, Conn., and Richard Dale Harvey of Prescott, Ariz.; a brother, Herbert Harvey of Damariscotta; five grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grand-child; and a lifetime friend, Linda Brooks. A memorial service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2004, at the Crabiel-Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Those wishing to make memorial donations may do so to the Disabled American Veterans.
