BANGOR and EAGLE LAKE – Beatrice Carter, 76, mother of Pamela and Herbert O’Dell, died Dec. 7, 2006, in Madawaska. She was born Aug. 14, 1930, in McKinley, Bass Harbor, the daughter of Raymond and Mary (Norwood) Carter. She was a graduate of Pemetic High School, Southwest Harbor, Class of 1951. Beatrice touched many lives and will be missed by several friends. She is survived by two sisters, Linnie Loring of Bangor and Alice Welch of Florida; an aunt, Gladys Hamlin; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by siblings, Raymond Carter Jr., Rebecca Torrey and Harry Davis. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 18, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Darren Morgan, pastor of the Brownville Community Church, officiating. Friends may call 11:30 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery.
