MONTICELLO – Beatrice A. Hoyt, 85, died Dec. 11, 2003, at a local hospital. She was born March 30, 1918, at Monticello, the daughter of Roland and Kathleen (Carmichael) Codrey. Beatrice was a member of the Monticello Calvary Pentecostal Church. She worked for 13 years at Keddy’s Motor Lodge until her retirement. Beatrice is survived by one son, Terry G. Hoyt and his wife, Judy, of Plymouth Conn.; two daughters, Delores Benson of Waterbury Conn., Madge Ward of Oakville, Conn.; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Ernest Codrey and his wife, Elsie, of Easton; five sisters, Faye Cole, Madeline Faulkner, Geraldine Hoyt, Caroline McNinch and her husband, Garfield, all of Monticello, Lillian Belden and her husband, Joe, of Houlton; two sisters-in-law, Dolores Codrey and Doris Codrey, both of Monticello; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Winslow Hoyt; one son, Clarence Hoyt; one sister, Pearl Hanning; three brothers, Ronald, Forrest and Linton Codrey; two sons-in-law, Clayton Benson and Roger Ward. Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of the service 1 p.m. Sunday at the Monticello Calvary Pentecostal Church with the Rev. Steven Izzo officiating. Interment will be in the Foster Cemetery. Gifts may be made in Beatrice’s memory to the Monticello Calvary Pentecostal Church or to the charity of one’s choice care of the Dunn Funeral Home, 11 Park St., Houlton 04730.
