HORACE F. LISCOMB BAR HARBOR – Horace F. Liscomb, 83, died Dec. 11, 2003, at MDI Hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1920, in Haverhill, Mass., the son of Horace H. and Annie T. (Heary) Liscomb. Horace attended Bar Harbor Schools and graduated from Husson College. He served in the Army during World War II in the European Theater. Horace was employed at the Jackson Laboratory for many years. He was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. Horace enjoyed caning chairs and loved the outdoors. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Beth “Clatworthy” Liscomb; his son, Peter Liscomb of Durham; his daughter, Betty Hackett and husband, Chris, of Bar Harbor; and two grandchildren, Jeffrey and Kelly Harding. He was dearly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Services of remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2003, at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Bar Harbor, with Father John O’Hara officiating. Spring interment will be at Ledgelawn Cemetery, Bar Harbor. In Lieu of flowers, contributions in Horace’s memory may be made to the Holy Redeemer Church, 21 Ledgelawn Ave., Bar Harbor, ME 04609.
