HENRIETTA MARSH KIRKLAND BREWER – Henrietta (Marsh) Kirkland died Dec. 11, 2003, at an Orono healthcare facility. She was born March 28, 1910, in Bangor, the daughter of Leroy W. and Austina (Nichols) Marsh. On Feb. 3, 1932 she married Theo C. Kirkland and they were married for 56 years. Theo died in 1988. She is survived by two sons, Kirby C. Kirkland and his wife, Merry A., of Douglas, Wyo., Kenneth L. Kirkland and his wife, Louise O., of Brewer; a granddaughter, Muriel E. and her husband, Randall S. Kramer, of Hopkinton, Mass.; four grandsons, Scott A. Kirkland and his wife, Melissa A., of Rockport, Mass., Bruce L. Kirkland and his wife, Melanie A., of Nashua, N.H., Kurt A. Kirkland and his wife, Rebecca H., of Ojai, Calif., Kyle R. Kirkland of Santa Monica; 10 great-grandchildren, Tyler S. Kramer, Brian E. Kramer, Lindsay M. Kramer, Kacey J. Kramer, Julianna P. Kramer, Ethan A. Kramer of Hopkinton, Mass., Kyra E. Kirkland, Alexis K. Kirkland, both of Nashua, N.H., Krag A. Kirkland, Kyleigh S. Kirkland both of Ojai, Calif.; two sisters, Rowena M. Varney of Brewer, Beverly M. Japp of Crossville, Tenn.; her brother, Maynard Marsh of Conchas Dam, N.M. Henrietta was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Wiona, Hazel, Bertha; a brother, Linus; and a great-granddaughter, Kellyn. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments at the Brookings-Smith Reception Rooms, 55 South Main St., Brewer, immediately following the service. Spring interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. Gifts in her memory may be sent to a charity of your choice.
