BANGOR and TUSCON, Ariz. – Bernice L. Richards, 81, died June 14, 2004, at a Bangor healthcare facility. She was born April 24, 1923, in Chicago, III., the daughter of Lloyd and Elizabeth (Neudbalski) Anderson. Bernice was very proud of serving her country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. She is survived by two daughters, Kristine Richards and Victoria Chapman of Bangor; two sons, Timothy and Thomas Richards; a sister, Corrine Cooper; many grandchildren; and a great-grandson. A service of remembrance will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, June 19, at the Chapman residence, Bradford Commons, 201 Husson Ave., Bangor. Interment will be in the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix. A service of Memorial Alternatives, Bangor.
