MADAWASKA – Bernice Pelletier, 72, died May 28, 2004, at a Bangor hospital. She was born April 29, 1932, in Frenchville, the daughter of Albert and Alice (Cyr) Pelletier. She is survived by one son, Jean Guy Dufour of Montreal, P.Q., Canada; and by one daughter, Anne Dufour of Quebec, P.Q., Canada; eight sisters, Aurore Sirois of Madawaska, Georgette Plourde and her husband, Gilbert, of Plainville, Conn., Lorraine Raymond and her husband, Albert, of Marengo, III., Rollande Pelletier and her husband, Anthime of Coventry, Conn., Jeanne Pelletier and her husband, Adrien, of St. David, Thelma Thibodeau of St. Basile, New Brunswick, Blanche Pelletier of Las Vegas, Nev., Marcella Potvin of Southington, Conn.; three brothers, Abel Pelletier of Portland, Bertrand Pelletier of Terryville, Conn., Eldon (Jos) Pelletier of Bristol, Conn.; several nieces and nephews; and by her special companion, Martin Morneault of Madawaska. In the past several years, Martin provided Bernice with his ever-present friendship, love and loyalty, and never more so than during this past week as he took up day and night residence at Bernice’s hospital bedside. He assured her of his loyal presence at the bedside until the moment that she drew her last breath. Marty’s loving devotion to Bernice will long be remembered and appreciated by her family. Bernice was predeceased by her parents; one sister, Germaine; and by one brother, Noel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Friends and relatives may call 7-9 p.m. Monday and from 9 am until time of services on Tuesday at the Daigle Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
