CORINNA – Betty H. Bragdon, 75, wife of the late C. Russell Bragdon Jr., passed away peacefully Dec. 13, 2006, at the Brewer Rehab Center, after a long courageous battle with cancer. She was born Feb. 10, 1931, in Charleston, the daughter of Lawrence and Geneva (Farmer) Higgins. She was a former resident of Charleston and had resided in Corinna for the past 34 years. She was a loyal wife and devoted mother, who worked side by side with her family on the farm and later at Dexter Shoe, retiring in 1993. In recent years, she enjoyed doing puzzle books, watching her soaps and spending quality time with her family and friends. She is survived by three sons, Tim, Clay and George, all of Corinna; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, four brothers, three sisters, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty was predeceased by her daughter, Cindy, a sister and three brothers. At her request, a memorial service will be held in the spring. Cremation arrangements are by Thompson Funeral Home, 30 St. Albans Road, Corinna.
