HANCOCK – Carl J. Small, 68, died June 26, 2006, at his residence in Hancock. He was born Aug. 26, 1937, in Gouldsboro, the son of Charles Joseph and Leone (Ford) Small. Carl was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was involved in real estate for more than 36 years. He belonged to the multiple listing service, was a member of the Hancock-Washington Board of Realtors, the David A. Hooper Lodge No. 201, the Lodge Council Chapter Valley of Bangor, Valley of Portland and the SAHIB Shriner’s of Sarasota, Fla. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lois of Hancock; son, Carl Gregory Small of Hancock; daughters, Tracie Black and husband, Daniel, of Bradenton, Fla., Terri Davis and husband, Paul, of Palmetto, Fla.; grandchildren, Rossie and Daniel Black, Jaime and Matthew Davis; and two very close friends, Steve Foster and Thurston Card. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, July 1, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth. Contributions may be made in Carl’s memory to the Hancock Monument Lot, P.O.
