WASHBURN – Carrie Edna (Alley) Sharp, 89, of Uncasville, Conn., formerly of Washburn, died Monday, March 12, 2007. She was born Sept. 16, 1917, in Wade, daughter to George and Carrie (Turner) Alley. She is survived by her children, Dwayn Sharp and his wife, Patricia, of Arizona, Dale Sharp and his wife, Lulu, of Caribou, Catherine Cyr and her husband, David, of Uncasville, Conn., Claris Shaw and her husband, Marvin, of Mystic, Conn., and Caroline Schroth and her husband, James, of Fort Myers, Fla.; 16 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Bob Gentry; and an infant daughter, Carrie Sharp; as well as her 11 siblings, George W. Alley, Braighton Alley, Georgia Adams, Vinnie Maynard, Inza Forbes, Eva Randall, Amber Corey, Ada Richardson, Doris Faye, Inez Alley and Flora Monson. A memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Burial will be in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Washburn. Please omit flowers.
