ADDISON – Cecil Farley, 75, died July 3, 2004, at the Down East Community Hospital after a sudden illness. He was born May 28, 1929, in Baileyville, the son of the late Addie and Edgar Farley Sr. Cecil served his country in the Army during the Korean War, receiving several decorations. He was a previous member of the VFW. Cecil enjoyed working in the woods. He is survived by his fianc?e, Minerva Crocker of Cherryfield; son, Barry Farley and his wife, Joanne, of Texas; daughter, Blanche Alley and her husband, Asa Alley Jr., of Cherryfield; Minerva’s children, Kenny Clark, Laura Davis, and Lona Sparks and her husband, Gary; grandchildren, Patricia Farley and Jennifer Hall and her husband, Richard, all of Texas; several more grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; brother, Freeman Grant Sr. of Fairfield; sister, Mae Denesmore of North Lubec; special family members, Joan and Emery Maclean of Cherryfield; and special friends, Arlene Grant and Shirley Williams of Oakland, and Von Davis and Nancy Eastman of Columbia. He was predeceased by his first wife, Barbara Farley; and brother, Hermon Farley. Visitation will take place 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 7, 2004, at Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home in Milbridge where a funeral service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, July 8, officiated by Pastor Daniel Davis. Burial will immediately follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Cherryfield. Arrangements are under the care of Bragdon-Kelley-Campbell Funeral Home, Milbridge.
