MARS HILL – Genevieve “Jean” Webb, 82, died Friday, July 2, 2004. She was born Oct. 5, 1921, in Jersey City, N.J., the daughter of Jennie Headley Hoever and William Hoever. She graduated from Lakewood High School in Lakewood, N.J., and was married to David Webb on Oct. 4, 1945. Jean moved to Mars Hill from Florida with her family in 1970. She was an active member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary for 34 years, and was a resident of Mars Hill Manor for 20 years. She is survived by two children, Jeannie Mae Bradbury, of Lincoln, and David Webb and his wife, Marilyn, of Eustis, Fla.; four grandchildren, Autumn Boyd and her husband, William, of Blaine, Billie Roach and her husband, Eric, of Orono, Amy Webb of Nashua, N.H., and Scott Webb, of Orlando, Fla.; four sisters, Lillian Bryson, of Benton, Ky., Lavinia Lamonte, of Lakehurst, N.J., Helen Webb, of Lempster, N.H., and Elise Wynne, of Marlboro, N.J.; and two brothers, Charles and James Hoever, both of Lakehurst, N.J. She was predeceased by her husband, David Webb in 1985; her daughter, Cheryl Webb in 2001; brothers, George Baier, Otto, Robert, Walter, and William Hoever; and sister, Myrtle Hoever. Graveside memorial services will be held in the coming weeks in Mars Hill.
