CARIBOU and ST. DAVID Charles Joseph Babin, 75, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, at a hospital in Orangeburge, S.C. He was born May 13, 1932, in Caribou, son of the late Charles and Eva (Martin) Babin. Charles had special needs. He was friendly, outgoing and enjoyed people. Charles enjoyed traveling, socializing with others, going to church and praising the Lord. During the summer, he resided in a beautiful cottage at Long Lake and in the winter he vacationed in Florida, with his home providers, Leo and Rita White; and special brother, Melvin Thompson, with whom he lived for more than 20 years. He is survived by his sister, Phillis Corrow of Goldsboro, N.C.; his four brothers, Roland Babin and his wife, Linda, of Caribou and Punta Gouda, Fla., Donald Babin of Blaine, Almond Babin of Fort Fairfield and Frank Babin and his wife, Rita, of West Boxford, Mass.; along with numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his two sisters, Virginia Gillingham Anderson and Mary Gahagan; and his two brothers, Freeland Babin and Wilmer Babin.
