WOODLAND – Christina H. Robertson, 94, wife of the late Donald James Robertson died Feb. 15, 2005, at Caribou. She was born April 22, 1910, in Morpeth, England, the daughter of G.F. and Emma (Neilsen) Hiscoe. She was educated in schools in England, prior to moving to Canada at age 16. She received her BS Degree in Education from the University of Maine at Presque Isle, and taught first grade at Woodland School for 19 years. Mrs. Robertson served as town clerk of Woodland for nearly 40 years. She was a longtime faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Woodland where she was the chairperson of the floral committee, and was a member of the Mission Circle. Christina was a member of the Woodland Historical Society and the Maine Retired Teachers Association. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, John and Wilza Robertson of Portage; one daughter and son-in-law, Nina and Jerry Brown of Fort Worth, Texas; one sister-in-law, Hilda Hiscoe; three grandchildren, Daniel Robertson, Allen Robertson and G.F. Brown; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Robertson was predeceased by her husband, Donald, in 1978; one brother, Noel Hiscoe; and one sister, Olga Hiscoe. Friends may call at the First Baptist Church of Woodland, 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005, until time of services which will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Otto Palmer, officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen Cemetery. Friends who wish to contribute in memory of Mrs. Robertson may do so through the First Baptist Church of Woodland Building fund.
