HOLDEN – Christine A. Gwinner, 48, died unexpectedly March 26, 2007, at her Holden home. She was born Aug. 6, 1958, in Springfield, Vt., the daughter of Robert and Gabrielle (Routhier) Marcoux. She attended Bangor schools and graduated from Bangor High School. Chris went on to lead an adventure filled life, having lived in Florida and New York before returning back to the Bangor area. Chris was a loving and devoted mother to her daughter, Amy and a loyal, compassionate, soul mate to her fianc?, David. The two of them were her life. Chris was a waitress at the Coach House, Brewer, where she touched the hearts of all her patrons and co-workers. For many of us, our day began each morning with a cup of coffee and a laugh or a joke from Chris. She had a unique outlook on life. She could always find humor in even the gloomiest days. She will be deeply missed and leaves us all with many memories. She is survived by her father, Robert Marcoux Sr. of Milford; her fianc?, David Sluka of Holden; her daughter, Amy Gwinner of Brewer; three sisters and their husbands, Marie and George Whitcomb of Orrington, Cynthia and Keith Paschal of Glenburn, and Sandra and Ronald Vilasuso of Orrington; one brother, Robert Marcoux Jr. and his wife, Sue, of Hampden; several nieces, nephews and many friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Gabrielle (Routhier) Marcoux. Friends may call 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 29, at Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, March 30, with the Rev. Roger Davis, pastor of the Brewer Calvary Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be immediately after the service at Mount Hope Cemetery, Bangor. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the interment at the Eagle’s Club upstairs hall, 22 Atlantic Ave., Brewer.
