LAGRANGE – Clara E. Gray, 84, wife of the late Cyril F. Gray, died Oct. 26, 2006, at a Howland nursing home. She was born Nov. 6, 1921, in Somesville, the daughter of Oscar S. and Lulella E. (Staples) Grindle. Clara enjoyed knitting, cooking, watching television, and the many phone calls and visits from family and friends. She is survived by five sons, Stanley Gray and his wife, Betty, of Orneville, Willard Gray and his wife, Paula, of Medway, Steven Gray of Enfield, Ken Gray and his friend, Joyce, of Alton and Robert Gray of Garland; a daughter, Debra Boobar and her husband, Timothy, of Medford; a sister, Rhoda Bernice Wing of Dixfield; eight grandchildren, Melinda, April, Maria, Steven Jr., Angel, Amanda, Larry and Kelly; 14 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Clara will be remembered by special friends, Jeannie Armstrong, Marion Miller and Estelle Littlefield. She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth Grindle. Graveside memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1, in the family lot at Hillcrest Cemetery, LaGrange, with Raymond Boobar officiating
