ST. FRANCIS and TOLLAND, Mass. – Claudette Walker, 78, beloved wife of the late Rene Walker, died July 23, 2008, at a Fort Kent health care facility. She was born Dec. 29, 1929, the daughter of Damase and Lucy (Thibodeau) Ouellette. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, sewing, crocheting and was an excellent cook. Her life revolved around her husband and his guide service. She assisted in any way she could, but her cooking and excellent pastries are how she’ll be remembered. She is survived by two daughters, Terry Walker and her husband, Lester, of Tolland, Mass., and Carol Anne Morgan and her husband, Albert, of St. Francis and Grafton, N.H.; one son, Darrell Rene Walker of Madawaska; one daughter-in-law, Diane Walker of Los Angeles; nine grandchildren, Nathan, Brady, Bill and Courtney Walker, Mathew and Clayton Morgan, Leaha Davenport Walker, Darrell Rene Jr. and Kristie Walker; eight great-grandchildren, Jacob and Jewelianna Walker, Allegra Walker, Abbie, Piper and Hunter Morgan, Allee and Kathryn Morgan; one sister, Claudeen “Deen” Walker of St. Francis; four sisters-in-law, Sylvia and Kate Ouellette, Charlene Walker, and Patsy Nadeau, all of St. Francis; one brother-in-law, Adrian Jandreau of St. John; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Rene Walker, Aug. 12, 2005. For the past three years, she lived, loved, laughed and tried to carry on, even though she was lost in a world without her husband, Rene. She will be sadly missed by everyone that loved her. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at St. Charles Catholic Church, St. Francis. Services are being conducted by Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
