ALEXANDER – Cory Lucas Phelan, 15, died unexpectedly at his residence in Alexander, Monday, June 7, 2004. Cory was born March 15, 1989, in Machias, son of Luther E. and Denise M. (Bouchard) Phelan. He was a student at Woodland High School, where he played on the varsity soccer team. Cory enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four-wheelers, and spending time with his family. He was predeceased by his grandfathers, Norman Bouchard and Peter Phelan. In addition to his parents of Alexander, he is survived by a sister, Amie Phelan of Alexander; his grandmothers, Patricia Phelan of Shelbyville, Tenn., and Corinne Bouchard of Bangor; one uncle and four aunts. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, at St. James The Greater Roman Catholic Church, Baileyville, with the Rev. Frank Morin Celebrant.
