HAMPDEN – Daniel F. Pelletier Sr., 77, husband of Geraldine (Baker) Foss Pelletier, passed away March 7, 2007, at a Bangor hospital. He was born March 29, 1929, in Allagash, the son of Dennis and Martha (McBreairty) Pelletier. Dan was a bush pilot in Maine for most of his life, working for and retiring from the Maine State Forestry Service. During his life, he also worked for flying services in the Greenville area. Dan was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He is survived by his beloved wife of 34 years, “Jerry” of Hampden; one son, Daniel F. Pelletier Jr. and Robin Mank of Greenville and her children, Elizabeth, Jeffrey and Megan and Elizabeth’s son, Lance Daniel; a stepdaughter, Jeanne Arbo and her husband, Ralph, of Hampden and their son, Wayne and his wife, Angela, of Newburgh and their children, Jessica and Tyler; and one sister, Louise Gillispie of Arizona. A private family service will be held at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden, with the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt, pastor of St. Matthew Catholic Church of Hampden, officiating. Interment in the springtime will be at Locust Grove Cemetery, Hampden.
