CHESAPEAKE, VA and VEAZIE Daniel J. Cote, 40, died unexpectedly Dec. 2, 2003, in Chesapeake, Va. He was born Aug. 10, 1963, in Bangor, the son of Lester and Avis (Brooks) Cote. He graduated form Orono High School, Class of 1982, where he was active in basketball and football. Dan served for five years with the U.S. Navy. Currently Dan was employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Norfolk, Va. and coached his daughter’s basketball team for over five years. In addition to his parents, Lester and Avis of Veazie, he is survived by three children who were the love of his life, daughters, Ashley Ruth Cote and Anna Marie Cote of Chesapeake, Va. and son, Ian Dehne of Lakeland, Fla.; a special and loving sister, Deborah Hatch and her son, Daniel of Veazie; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Dan’s life will be 12 noon Saturday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with the Rev. Normand Richard, officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. Saturday until time of service. Immediately following the service all are invited to attend a luncheon at the Holy Family Parish Center.
